Separation is already hard. The coordination around it — schedules, expenses, missed pickups, forty-text back-and-forths — doesn't need to be. We built CoHaven to take that layer off the table.
The problem we kept seeing
Co-parenting coordination is everywhere — scattered across texts, emails, sticky notes and memory. CoHaven is the infrastructure that ties it together.
When a relationship ends and children are involved, two households have to learn how to function as a unit for the first time — without the proximity, the goodwill, or the informal systems that used to hold things together. The logistics don't disappear. They just get harder.

Every feature in CoHaven was designed around a single constraint: it has to make things calmer, not more complicated. No feature ships if it adds noise, creates ambiguity, or risks being weaponized in an argument. The result is a tool that does less than it could — deliberately.

Three things we never compromise on.
Strict neutrality
CoHaven doesn't take sides. The calendar is shared. The messages are factual. The records belong to both parents equally — no bias, no tilt, no hidden weighting.
Separate privacy
Two households, two private accounts. Neither parent can see the other's private notes, billing, or internal workspace — only the shared layer between you.
Calm by default
Every design decision — color, copy, notification timing, message framing — goes through a single question: does this reduce or risk increasing stress? Calm wins every time.

One primary action per screen
Decision fatigue is real. Every screen has one obvious next step — nothing competing for attention.
Understandable in three seconds
If a stressed parent opens the app for ten seconds, they should instantly understand what's happening and what to do.
No legalistic language
We're not a legal tool and we never pretend to be. Plain English, plain copy, no liability-speak that adds anxiety.
Free tools stay free
We will never move the Schedule Builder or Expense Calculator behind a paywall. They exist to help — full stop.
